Sophia Ortiz, Staff Writer
My name is Sophia and I am a freshman. I have two wonderful parents and an older brother. I’m Mexican and Peruvian, leading to me speaking both English and Spanish. I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, and coloring. They all have significant meaning when finding ease in my mind. I used to play volleyball for teams and now I only play in school with my friends. I’m left-handed and my birthday is on October 29th. Surprisingly, I don’t know how to ride a bike, but I would love to learn. I would also love to learn how to play the piano. My guilty pleasures are chocolate, jewelry, and roses. I aspire to be an occupational therapist one day because I love helping other individuals and seeing the joyous sparkle in their eyes. I usually try to present myself as a happy and optimistic individual because life is a beautiful gift that should be cherished. I joined this class because I enjoy writing. I treasure writing stories that I am passionate about and that can provide a meaningful moral to the audience. I believe that as a writer, you must write to entertain or inform the audience, while also being intrigued to the story yourself. I am eager to learn new aspects regarding writing as well as improving myself. I have many goals and aspirations that I am ready to accomplish.
